Ham & Black-Eyed Pea Soup
This delicious soup is a great option for cold nights or when looking to use up some vegetables you might have on hand!

Ingredients
2
15-ounce
cans black-eyed peas
6
cups
water or low-sodium chicken broth
1
garlic clove, chopped
½ teaspoon minced or ¼ teaspoon powder
1
large onion
minced
3
stalks celery
chopped
2
large carrots
diced
1
meaty ham bone or ½ pound ham
chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Wash hands with warm, soapy water for 20 seconds.
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
Heat to boiling. Cover. Turn down heat and simmer 30 minutes.
