Spicy Cereal Mix Posted on May 28, 2020May 19, 2020 Ingredients2 Tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce1 teaspoon hot sauce½ teaspoon garlic powder½ teaspoon ground cumin½ teaspoon onion powder¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper½ teaspoon Kosher salt3 cups rice cereal squares1 cup cornflakes⅔ cup whole-grain pita chips, broken into small pieces½ cup unsalted pumpkin seeds (pepitas) DirectionsWash hands with warm, soapy water for 20 seconds.Preheat oven to 350°F.Whisk the olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, cumin, onion powder, cayenne and salt in a bowl.Combine the cereals, pita chips, and pepitas in a bowl.Toss with the spice mixture and spread evenly on a baking sheet.Bake, stirring occasionally, until golden, 20 to 40 minutes.Makes 16 servings
Peanut Butter Balls Posted on May 26, 2020February 13, 2024 Ingredients1/2 cup creamy peanut butter1/2 cup nonfat dry milk powder2 Tablespoons honey*1/2 cup rice cerealDirectionsWash hands with warm, soapy water.Mix ingredients together and roll into balls.Refrigerate leftovers.*Children under 1 year should not eat honey.VariationsAdd 2 Tablespoons raisins or other dried fruit.Replace rice cereal with 1/2 cup quick oats.Honey Bees- Shape balls into ovals for the body of a bee and place on waxed paper. Dip a toothpick into cocoa powder, then press gently across top of bees to make stripes. Stick almond slices into body for wings. Chill at least 30 minutes.Makes 16 balls Download recipe
